The Hall of Champions museum was closed to the public on June 15 in order to complete the deaccession process and move the Breitbard Hall of Fame to Petco Park. The museum was closed because it was not sustainable. However, its closure will enable us to redirect funds to continue (and expand) all of the other Hall of Champions programs, including monthly and annual awards, community outreach initiatives, and the Breitbard Hall of Fame.
Auction registration for the Hall of Champions' online memorabilia auction is now open. The catalog and online preview are also available. All links for the auction, which will take place online October 18 - November 4 through SCP Auctions, can be found below.
Additionally, Vintage Sports Collectors (VSC) is currently selling the lesser-known, more vintage and unique items that generally sell for $500 or less. These items are being sold through their website (http://www.vscollector.com) and eBay.
As a reminder, the proceeds generated from the liquidation of the Hall's collection will support the organization's ongoing awards and community programs.
And in case you missed it, below are links to recent stories that have appeared in the San Diego Union Tribune and pertain to the auction and the Breitbard Hall of Fame's relocation to Petco Park.
Thank you for your continued support of the Hall of Champions.
