Inducted in 1967. Cort Majors was one of the University of California’s greatest all-around athletes, winning letters in football, basketball, and track for four consecutive years.

He played guard and captained the 1920 Cal “Wonder Team” that won nine games and outscored opponents 510-14, including a 28-0 victory over Ohio State in the 1921 Rose Bowl game.

Majors was one of seven San Diego High School graduates on the Bears team that in 1960 was cited by the Helms Athletic Foundation as the best in college football history to that time.

Four of them are in the Breitbard Hall of Fame. Majors became a successful paper products executive in San Francisco and was a University of California Regent.
