Inducted in 2001. Legendary Chargers coach Sid Gillman once called Keith Lncoln the “best all around player in pro football”/ An incredibly versatile player, Lincoln starres for seven years (1961-1966 and 1968) as an offensive back with the Chargers of the American Football League.
A top performer under pressure, Lincoln stunned the football world on January 5, 1964 in the AFL Championship game against the Boston Patriots, when he rushed 13 times for 206 yards, caught seven passes for 123 yards, and completed a 20 yard pass.
In all, he accounted for 349 total yards and two touchdowns as the Chargers captured the league championship by defeating the Patriots 51-10.
An All-AFL selection in 1962 and 1964, Lincoln retired with 3,383 career rushing yards, 2,250 receiving yards, and 40 touchdowns.
