Juli VeeInducted in 1997. Juli Veee was a flamboyant, goal scoring artist who led the San Diego Sockers to five of the ten championships of their indoor soccer dynasty. An explosive, theatrical forward, he left an indelible imprint, scoring 254 goals and 214 assists in 198 indoor games.

He was the NASL indoor regular season and playoff Most Valuable Player in 1981-1982, and playoff Most Valuable Player in 1983.

Born Gyula Visneyi in Budapest, Hungary, he defected at age eighteen while playing for a Hungarian under twenty-one team in Italy.

He played for the Sockers outdoor from 1978-1984 and indoors from 1980-1984 and 1985-1988.

A crowd favorite, he wore Number 22 and his introduction became a trademark: “Double deuce, triple E…the one and only Juli Veee!”
