The Champions Sports Academy (CSA), a youth educational sports training program developed by the San Diego Hall of Champions, is proud to host the third season of the Jr. Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) Program in San Diego. This program of Major League Basebal aims to create playing opportunities for children ages 5 through 12, it is designed to increase participation and interest in baseball and softball, encourage academic participation and achievement and teach the value of teamwork. The Jr. RBI league is a non-competitive outreach program, focused on skill building and player development. Run entirely from sponsor and volunteer support there is no fee to participate, although space is limited.
Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego and the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA will each have their own set of self-contained teams. Opening day, weekend games, and closing ceremonies will be an opportunity to bring the communities together through the fun and excitement of sport. Peninsula Little League will be hosting weekend games at Bill Cleator Community Park.
