Kevin O'Connell's 80-yard touchdown drive to beat Colorado State Saturday 24-20 reminded photographer Ernie Anderson of the Aztecs' 1986 win at CSU in a snowstorm. Colorado State scored with minutes remaining to take a 26 to 20 lead. SDSU quarterback Todd Santos engineered an incredible drive in the final minute, throwing the winning touchdown to a wide open Alfred Jackson for a 27 to 26 win.

Hall of Champions founder Bob Breitbard was inducted into the San Diego State Hall of Fame on Dec. 1 at the Aztec Athletics Center along with Neal Petties (football), Craig Scoggins (football), Kim Goetz (basketball) and Cynthia MacGregor (tennis) in the Class of 2006. Breitbard, former player and football coach at San Diego State, was inducted for his community service to his alma mater.

In an article that originally appeared in a San Diego State's gameday program against UCLA in 2002 at Qualcomm Stadium, back when Tom Ables had atttended "only" 600 Aztecs football games, he wrote about his most memorable moments in SDSU football. This week's Utah-SDSU game at Qualcomm will be his 621st. Ables, San Diego State's No. 1 fan, is recognized nationally as one of college football's most dedicated fans.
