Greg Oden's Diary -- March 23, 2006

Greg Oden, a 7-foot, 245-pound center at Lawrence North High in Indianapolis, was among 24 boys and 24 girls named to the McDonald's All-American High School All-Star Basketball Games March 29 at San Diego State's Cox Arena. Oden is considered the top high school player in the nation on a team ranked No. 1 in the country in the Student Sports Fab 50 national rankings. Before the NBA changed its draft eligibility rules, there was speculation Oden could be the first pick of the 2006 draft. Oden has agreed to keep a diary for the Hall of Champions about his senior year leading up to the McDonald’s game. In November, Oden signed a national letter-of-intent to attend Ohio State.

Abi Olajuwon's Diary -- March 21, 2006

Abi Olajuwon, a 6-foot-3 center from Marlborough High in Los Angeles, is one of 24 girls and 24 boys named to play in the McDonald's All-American High School All-Star Games on March 29 at San Diego State's Cox Arena. Olajuwon averaged 15.9 points and 15.4 rebounds a game as one of the nation's top girls players while leading a team ranked in California's Top 20 to the CIF Southern California Regional Division IV semifinals before being eliminated. Olajuwon has agreed to keep a diary for the Hall of Champions about her senior year leading up to the McDonald’s game. In November, Olajuwon, the daugther of basketball legend Hakeem Olajuwon, signed a national letter-of-intent to attend Oklahoma.
