Martin Bayless/La'Roi Glover Free Football Camp

The 19th annual Martin Bayless/La'Roi Glover Free Football Camp is April 5-6 at Lincoln High. The camp schedule includes a "Night Out With The Players" on Friday, April 4 at the Hall of Champions. Bayless and over 15 of his NFL celebrity friends will attend the event. The event is from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with a reception from 6:30 to 7:15. Click on the link below for more information.

The 19th annual Martin Bayless/La'Roi Glover Free Football Camp takes place April 5-6 on the newly rebuilt Lincoln High campus and football stadium. The address is 4777 Imperial Ave in San Diego.

There are two camps on Saturday for grades 3 through 5 and 6 through 8 and one camp on Sunday for grades nine through 12. Registration is the day of the camp. A parental signature is required for camp participation.

Grades 3 through 5: 8 a.m. to noon, April 5. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

Grades 6 through 8: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., April 5. Registration begins at 1 p.m.

Grades 9 through 12: 8 a.m. to noon, April 6. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

The camp has drawn 2,000 participants in past years. Nearly ever San Diegan playing in the NFL today is an alumnus of the free camp.

Bayless, a Houston Texans assistant coach, and Glover, a St. Louis Rams defensive tackle from San Diego State, are among 15 NFL camp coaches invited to attend. The others include LaDainian Tomlinson, Chargers; Antonio Cromartie, Chargers; Alex Smith, 49ers; Kirk Morrison, Raiders; Justin Fargas, Raiders; Ronald Curry, Raiders.

Bayless began his camp in Dayton, Ohio, his hometown in 1986. It is considered the largest and oldest continuous free football camp in the nation.

On March 4, Bayless received the Ernest H. Wright Sr. Humanitarian Award at the Hall of Champions' 62nd annual Viejas Salute to the Champions dinner.

The camp schedule includes a "Night Out With The Players" on Friday, April 4 at the Hall of Champions. Bayless and over 15 of his NFL celebrity friends will attend the event.
