Ernie Anderson has been official photographer for the Chargers and Padres in the past and was the official photographer for the athletic department at San Diego State for 40 years.

A Holiday Bowl Hall-of-Famer as a Navy wide receiver in the first Holiday Bowl in 1978, Phil McConkey, who now makes San Diego his home, was the honorary chairman for the 2007 Pacific Life Holiday Bowl. He is greeted by Holiday Bowl President Rudy Castruita.
