Blood Drive
The Patriots Day Blood and Marrow Drive, sponsored by the San Diego Blood Bank, will once again be held at the San Diego Hall of Champions Sports Museum at 2131 Pan American Plaza in Balboa Park. The blood drive is from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11.
All blood donors will be awarded a commemorative Patriots Day Freedom T-shirt, a voucher for an oil change at Evans Tires and a voucher for a car wash at Gene Car Wash. Food and drinks will be provided by Domino's Pizza, Ryans Brothers Coffee and Penta Water.
Walk-ins are welcome, but donors can also call ahead to make an appointment. Call the San Diego Blood Bank at 1-800-469-7322. Donors should eat a good meal and drink plenty of fluids before giving blood.
The free bone marrow testing is offered compliments of the Kiwanis Club International.
