The dates for the 22st annual San Diego Classic are July 17-20, 2008 at sites around San Diego. The girls basketball event, featuring high school teams as opposed to club teams, drew 352 teams in 2007 and is the largest summer event of its kind in the U.S.

The 19th annual San Diego Classic girls basketball tournament, the largest event its kind in the nation, is July 21-24, 2005. The tournamment is played at sites around San Diego, with the headquarters at the UCSD RIMAC Arena. Day passes are $5 and tournament passes are $18 and can be purchased at the door. The San Diego Classic is the nation's largest girls basketball tournament for athletes playing for their high school team, rather than girls playing for club teams.
