Sports at Lunch, Steve Fisher and Brad Holland
The SDSU-USD basketball rivalry shifted to Jenny Craig Pavilion, USD's homecourt, but the annual Sports at Lunch with San Diego State coach Steve Fisher and USD coach Brad Holland remained on center court at the San Diego Hall of Champions. Fisher and Holland spoke Nov. 29, 2005 at the Hall of Champions.
The SDSU-USD basketball rivalry has grown since Brad Holland and Steve Fisher took over the men's programs as their respective universities.
This was the third straight year that Fisher and Holland agreed to speak at Sports at Lunch the day before their annual showdown for the city championship. It was the seventh time the schools have met under Fisher and Holland. Holland's teams won the first three games and Fisher's teams the next three, but USD defeated SDSU 90-80 in th seventh game.
