Hank Bauer, the former Chargers player and assistant coach who is now the team's radio broadcast analyst, will speak to coaches and athletes at the CIF football press conference Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005 at the Hall of Champions.
The press conference precedes the CIF San Diego Section semifinals on Dec. 2 and 3.
CIF commissioner Dennis Ackerman will introduce the players and coaches, who will be available for media interviews.
Bauer, a running back and special teams player captain, played for the Chargers from 1977-82 and was an assistant on Don Coryell's staff from 1983-86 before moving to the radio booth.
Following last year's popular response to the CIF press conferences being staged at the Hall of Champions, the CIF office is now opening the event to interested parents or fans who wish to attend. The price is $10 to cover the costs of added lunches.
