Sports at Lunch, Breeders' Cup with Trevor Denman and more
Popular Southern California race caller Trevor Denman served as moderator for a Breeders' Cup Sports at Lunch at the Hall of Champions in Balboa Park. Denman's voice is a familiar one as the race caller at Del Mar, Santa Anita, Fairplex and Oak Tree at Santa Anita.
Other guests with Denman on the panel were trainer Peter Miller of Carlsbad, breeders and owners Martin and Pam Wygod of Rancho Santa Fe and Jon Lindo of The Daily Racing Form.
Miller, a trainer during the Del Mar season, took Set Play to the Breeders' Cup. Set Play won the Del Mar Debutante. Miller will speak and answer questions about his runners and the Breeders' Cup.
The Wygods took After Market and Idiot Proof to the Breeders' Cup. Idiot Proof won at Santa Anita.
Lindo, a horse racing expert with the The Daily Racing Form, highlighted races at the Breeders' Cup and answered questions about handicapping.
Lindo co-hosts the Thoroughbred Los Angeles Radio show each Saturday and Sunday from 9-10 am on 830 am KLAA in Los Angeles. He is a syndicated handicapper who makes selections during the Del Mar racing season in the North County Times and the San Diego Union-Tribune. Jon has been a thoroughbred owner for over 20 years, is the west coast ad representative for Daily Racing Form, and is the staff handicapper for the Coast Hotels in Las Vegas.
