The Hall of Champions Sports at Lunch event with San Diego Olympians has been postponed so the athletes can participate in the Junior Seau Legends Lunch on Oct. 14 at the Hyatt Regency in La Jolla. The Hall of Champions hopes to reschedule the event with gold medalists David Lee (volleyball) and Monique Henderson (track and field) and silver medalist Jesse Smith (water polo) if a date can be found.

A renewal of last year's gathering of former Raiders and Chargers players before the annual rivalry game in San Diego is back by popular demand. The Raiders play the Chargers on Thursday, Dec. 4 at Qualcomm Stadium. The Former Chargers and Raiders will speak about the rivalry for Sports at Lunch on Center Court. Sweeney and Davidson will be joined by more Raiders/Chargers veterans to be announced at a later date. Tickets for Sports at Lunch are $25 for members and $30 for non-members. The Hall of Champions is taking Sports at Lunch on the road Dec. 5 to Seau's The Restaurant in Mission Valley. USD basketball coach Bill Grier and SDSU coach Steve Fisher will break bread, marking the sixth straight year for Sports at Lunch before the City Championship game. As a special feature to the event, Lynch welcomed San Diego State quarterback Kevin O'Connell, a third-round draft pick by the New England Patriots, to the NFL.
