San Diego State football coach Chuck Long took a break from fall camp to update Aztecs fans on the 2008 season at Sports at Lunch on August 21 at the Hall of Champions in Balboa Park.

San Diego State football coach Chuck Long took a break from fall camp to update Aztecs fans on the 2008 season at Sports at Lunch on Thursday, August 21 at the Hall of Champions in Balboa Park.

The Aztecs open the season Aug. 30 against Cal Poly at Qualcomm Stadium. The season also features a roaad trip game on Sept. 6 at Notre Dame.

This will be Long's third season at SDSU. The Aztecs return eight starters on defense, led by linebacker Russell Allen of Vista High and free safety Corey Boudreaux. Allen earned honorable mention All-Mountain West Conference last year and Boudreaux was granted a sixth-year of eligiblilty by the NCAA.

Three San Diego State All-American and an Aztecs alumnus received Star of the Month plaques from Breitbard and Aztecs Hall-of-Famer Willie Buchanon.
