The amateur stars are from San Diego State, USD and San Diego high school alums from Utah, UCLA, BYU and Arizona State. The high school stars represent football, field hockey, volleyball, basketball and soccer. The Hall of Champions has been presenting Star of the Month awards since 1946. Every athlete named a Star of the Month receives an invitation to the 62nd annual Viejas Salute to the Champions dinner on March 4, 2008 at the Town and Country Hotel.
