What is my anniversary month?

The anniversary month, which is the final month in which you membership is current, is set to the month in which we have received payment. The only exception to this rule is that you have paid your renewal fee earlier than your expiration month, then your anniversary month will default to your expiration month. All members will be notified 30 days prior to their anniversary month and membership expires annually.

What are À La Carte options?

À La Carte options applies to Hall of Fame, All American, Platinum, and Gold members. These are customizable benefits, which are specific to those levels of membership.

Who attends board meetings?

Board meetings are only attended by Emeritus, Gold, Platinum, All-American, and Hall of Fame members that have “Active” status. Preferred Partners are excluded from attending board meetings. Members who hold ex-officio status may attend board meetings if there level of membership is Patron or above.

Do I get charged for using a credit card?

There will be no cost to the member if payment is received via credit card.

What are event discounts?

Event discounts apply to events that the Hall of Champions and Sports Commission are managing directly. These discounts only apply after all “À La Carte” funds have been depleted.

What do I receive as an event sponsor, if that is the À La Carte option I’d like to use?

The marketing department will provide you with sponsorship privileges such as advertising in programs, onsite logo/product placement, and other media. Those sponsorship privileges will be equivalent to the costs set for sponsors for that specific event.

What do I receive if I use the “Hall Rental” À La Carte Option?

You will receive rental of the Hall equivalent to the value of $3,500. This rental does not include food, beverage, or audio visual.

How will I be contacted if I become a member?

Members will be communicated to via email, e-newsletter, mail, and phone. For board members, there is a secure site that will be accessible from sdhoc.com and sdsportscommission.com.

How do I get a golf player spot?

If golf player spots are available for Hall of Champions or Sports Commission events, then spots are provided on a first come first served basis.

How do I cancel my membership?

If a member decides to cancel membership, then we formally accept discontinuation requests via email or mail. If cancellation falls on a date prior to expiration, then that person is still considered a member until expiration (no refunds are provided).

Who gets to vote at board meetings?

The following members may vote at the Board Meetings:

  • Board of Trustees
  • Executive Committee
  • Standing Committee Chairs

How do I get tickets to events?

Your level of membership dictates the number of tickets you are allotted and the events you may to attend. Tickets are provided upon request. Please contact the membership coordinator directly to put in your request (contact info listed below). If tickets to Sports @ Lunch, Salute to the Champions, Sportsman’s Banquet, and the Padres or Chargers events are not used, then this is considered a donation to the Hall of Champions and Sports Commission.
