2015 PERFECT GAME ALL-AMERICAN CLASSIC

When:  Sunday, August 16, 2015

Time:  5 p.m. PDT

Where: Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres. This is the seventh straight year the game has been held at Petco.

What:  The nation’s premier high school All-Star game brings together the top 50 baseball players who will be heading into their senior years. They will be divided into teams of 25 players each on an East-West format.

Why:  To showcase the talents of players who are expected to be future high major league draft choices and to support Rady Children’s Hospital.

Previous No. 1 picks:  Justin Upton (2004), Bryce Harper (2009), Garret Cole (2007) and Brady Aiken (2014).

Other Notable alumni:  Buster Posey, Andrew McCutchen, Madison Bumgarner, Addison Russell, Gio Gonzalez and Jason Heyward.

TV:  The game will be televised nationally on the MLB Network.

Ticket information: $5 general admission.

Local flavor:  Outfielders Mickey Moniak of La Costa Canyon and Avery Tuck of Steele Canyon will represent the West.
