SAN DIEGO–Poker players of all levels can join Matt Vasgersian for a night of Texas Hold ‘Em to benefit local charities. Sponsored by Valley View Casino, the 3rdAnnual Matt Vasgersian Charity Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament will be held Friday, November 13 at the Hall of Champions in Balboa Park. Doors open at 5:30 and the first round of play in this no-limits tournament begins at 6:00 p.m.
The public can register for the tournament at www.MattVCharityPoker.com. The Player entry fee is $200 per person (with a one-time $100 optional re-buy fee the day of the event). Non-playing Guests are being asked for a $20 donation for entry. Both Entry fees include hosted food and beverage, prizes and an opportunity to bid on unique items such as sports memorabilia and an opportunity drawing.
Vasgersian, currently the lead anchor for the Major League Baseball Network,has hosted NBC’s Heads Up Poker Championship and GSN’s Celebrity Blackjack and World Series of Blackjack and most recently was Channel 4’s play-by-play voice for the San Diego Padres from 2002-2008.
ABOUT TENDER LOVING CANINES:
TLCAD is a non-profit organization (Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code) that complies with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. TLCAD provides custom-trained Assistance Dogs to people with disabilities in San Diego County, California. The organization is managed entirely by volunteers and financially sustained by Foundations, Grants, Sponsorships and Donations. TLCAD was certified by Assistance Dogs International in 2007.
