Ray Rowe is a Mira Mesa High alumnus still involved in his alma mater’s program as an assistant coach and a photographer. For years he had been thinking about a way to publicize the rich history of the Marauders.

Rowe, a former San Diego State tight end who played briefly in the NFL, wanted to produce something for his school similar to information made available by the public relations department of professional sports teams and the sports information office of college athletic programs.

The advent of the Internet allows Rowe to provide such a resource. The site includes information about the football program and the upcoming 2006 season. Rowe plans to continue to add to the website.

“We’ve been talking about it for years and we finally got it together,” Rowe said. “It is a work in progress, and I’m getting great ideas from all the old timers on a daily basis.”
