Harold “Brick” Muller

Inducted in 1953. Harold “Brick” Muller, star end at the University of California in 1920-1922, was the first player in the West to make All-American in 1921,1922.</p> <p>Big, fast, rugged and fiery, he was one of seven San Diego High School graduates to play on Cal’s undefeated, untied 1920 “Wonder Team”, which outscored nine opponents, 510-14, including a 28-0 thrashing of Ohio State in the 1921 Rose Bowl game that established West Coast football.</p> <p>Muller could throw the ball as well as catch it. In the 1921 Rose Bowl, he competed a touchdown pass to Brodie Stephens that went at least 53 yards in the air.</p> <p>After playing pro football, Muller became an outstanding orthopedic surgeon.
