Helix Unanimous No. 1 in Final Football Polls


With a lopsided 44-6 victory over six-time defending champion Oceanside in the San Diego Section Division II title game, Helix was a unanimous No. 1 in both the Union-Tribune and Sportswriters/Sportscasters final football polls.

Helix not only impressed the San Diego voters but were recognized statewide, too, as the Highlanders were selected to represent the South in the Division II State Bowl Championship Saturday against Loomis Del Oro in Carson.
